A steel and aluminum company said it will invest more than $10 million into Blount County, which will create 32 new jobs.

Koide Tennessee announced Friday it's expanding its operations in the Stock Creek Development Technology Park in Rockford. The company will build a new 7,600 square-foot manufacturing plant.

Koide specializes in cut-to-length steel and aluminum tubing used in the auto industry.

The company already employs 67 people in Blount County. Koide first opened its Blount County operations in 1998.
