I grew up in Oak Ridge watching WBIR and I have now been a part of the Channel 10 family for more than 30 years.

In 1981, I spent the summer as an intern in the Channel 10 newsroom absorbing everything I could from legends like Bill Williams, Carl Williams, Margie Ison and Ken Schwall.

After I graduated from Troy University, I started working at Channel 10 as a fill in weather anchor. During this time I represented Tennessee in the Miss America pageant. After my year as Miss Tennessee, Channel 10 hired me full time as weekend weather anchor and reporter.

Over the years I have taken several extended leaves from the station to raise the four children I have with my husband Dan.

Coming and going has given me opportunities to work on many different shows at Channel Ten including anchoring Ten News at Noon, anchoring Live at Five (when it was actually at five), hosting Style and most recently hosting Mornings with Fox 43 and anchoring 10 News at Noon.

I am grateful for the people who make my home in East Tennessee and my second home at WBIR such wonderful places to be.
