Knoxville police arrested a suspect accused of stabbing a man at a homeless camp under an overpass in downtown Knoxville.

The victim, 31-year-old Jeremy Cyran, flagged down an ambulance near the area of Blackstock and Oak avenues at about 10:30 p.m. Monday. Cyran told EMS workers an acquaintance stabbed him. Crews took Cyran to the University of Tennessee Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Officers arrested Christopher Murphy, 35, at the crime scene and charged him with aggravated assault and criminal trespassing.
