(WBIR-Knoxville) - Tennessee Aquatics hosted a breaststroke clinic, Breast for Breasts, to raise money for the UT Cancer Institute on Saturday.

The event was held in honor of Kim Kredich, who is married to the UT Swimming and Diving head coach, Matt Kredich.

"It's like the swimming community pulling together and being one to raise money and fight. And fight they, you know, fight the good fight," said Marchell Goldman, head coach of Tennessee Aquatics.

Kim Kredich was recently diagnosed with breast cancer.

"Yesterday was my second round of chemo out of eight. So that's my journey now. I have recovered from surgery and they recommended chemo and that's what I'm going through now," explained Kim Kredich.

Swimmers focused on breaststroke to raise awareness for the cause.

They raised more than $11 thousand dollars in a few weeks and say they hope to continue this event in the future.
