(WBIR) Former Knox County judge Richard Baumgartner is out of prison and back in East Tennessee, his attorney, Don Bosch confirmed to WBIR 10News.

Bosch said Baumgartner will now remain at home until his scheduled November 25 release date.

Last November, a jury found Baumgartner guilty of five counts of misprision of a felony, meaning he had knowledge of and covered up drug crimes to feed his addiction to painkillers.

Baumgartner began serving his six month sentence back in May at a West Virginia prison camp.
