David Valentine, an inmate of the Grainger County jail who escaped with two other inmates on November 8, has been taken into custody, according to the US Marshal Service.
Officials say Valentine, 33, was arrested Tuesday night in Sevier County. Officers say they saw and identified Valentine in the parking lot of the Food City in off Chapman Highway in Seymour.
Valentine was at the Grainger County jail for several charges, including burglary and theft of property over $10,000.
The other two inmates, Dennis Rucker and Shane Farrow were arrested Wednesday, Nov. 13 at an inn in Pigeon Forge.
The trio is believed to have escaped by climbing over the jail's recreation wall. The escape prompted the jail to install new high tech locks, and city officials have discussed including more patrols and electronic fencing at the jail.
