(WBIR) A state lawmaker has promoted a bill that would make Tennesseans stop adjusting their clocks for daylight saving time.

Rep. Curry Todd from West Tennessee, who is behind the bill, said the change would help farmers, school children, and businesses by adding an hour of sunlight.

Lawmakers have been debating back and forth about the best way to implement the change because Tennessee has two different time zones. Due to that confusion, lawmakers have asked to delay the bill for one year so they can study the issue more.
