A review of the Knox County Trustee's Office has officially come back clean.

The county's tax collections office has had an external audit ever since John Duncan III gave unearned bonuses to himself and other employees. He resigned last year after pleading guilty to official misconduct.

Since then, an outside company has conducted regular interviews with employees and been on the lookout for any unusual activity. So far, it has all come back clean.

Interim Knox County Trustee Craig Leuthold says his office is working daily to restore the public's trust.
