Wednesday is High School Radio Day, and of the about 200 radio stations in the country run by high school students, two of them are in Knox County.

WKCS-FM is run by students at Fulton High School. While Falcon Radio has a small 500-watt signal, it can be heard by anyone through the internet. It helps students who want to go into the field of communications, broadcasting, or electronics have an early start.

Karns High School also has student-run radio station called Retro Radio KCS.
