(WBIR-Knoxville) Boomsday will send summer off with a bang on Sunday night.

Downtown Knoxville is the site of the country's biggest Labor Day fireworks celebration, but the fireworks are just the finale of a big, family-friendly celebration. All events are centered on Neyland Drive and Volunteer Landing.

The event opens at 1:00, with the opening of the Family Fun Zone Area, which includes games and inflatables. There will food vendors and live music throughout the day.

The fireworks, which are choreographed to music from Star 102.1, start at 9:30 pm, and will last for 30 minutes.

If you can't make it to the event, you can watch the fireworks live on WBIR from 9:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
