Saturday events celebrate the author of "Pride and Prejudice" in a house of the same era. It features tea parties, duels, and elaborate costumes.


Celebrate Jane Austen at Historic Ramsey House at 2614 Thorn Grove Pike in Knoxville. The event is from 10 am to 4:30 pm Saturday June 7th and costs $10 per person.

Enjoy readings from Jane Austen's books and papers in the 1797 historic house, period games, reenactments, vendors and many people in period costume on the grounds.

All proceeds go toward preservation of the historic Ramsey House.

Two Regency Tea presentations are set for 11:30 am and 2:00 pm for $20.00 per person.

A formal ball begins at 7:00 pm for $15.00 per person for those wanting to recreate the romantic period of Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth. Period costuming is encouraged but not required. Dances will be led by the Lark in the Morn English Country Dancers and live music by the Lark in the Morn Consort.

Both of the teas and the ball require paid reservations.
