State Representative David Hawk was sentenced Thursday after being found guilty of reckless endangerment for assaulting his ex-wife last March.

Hawk, of Greeneville, was sentenced to two years judicial diversion, which means if he keeps his record clean in that time, he can apply to have the conviction cleared from his record.

He will also have to serve 150 hours of community service, pay $1,500 to his ex-wife Crystal Goan by December 1, take part in an anger management program and pay court costs.

Hawk is also to have no contact with Goan except when it involves child care.
