(WBIR) A Maryville High School football star, who signed with East Tennessee State University, was arrested Friday night after police said he attacked his brother.

Officials charged Shawn Michael Prevo, 18, with aggravated domestic assault.

Maryville Police Chief Tony Crisp said Prevo allegedly walked into his 19-year-old brother's bedroom, woke him up and asked him for a cigarette. After his brother said no and asked him to leave, officials said Prevo began beating his brother.

Prevo, a running back, signed his letter of intent with ETSU on Feb. 7.
