East Tennesseans enjoyed some Fall staples today at the 36th Annual Apple Festival Saturday.

Washington Presbyterian Church in Corryton hosted the annual festival.

Festival goers celebrated with fall inspired food, handmade arts and crafts, and an apple pie contest.

All the money raised goes to charity.

"Every penny goes back to the charities we serve," said Sarah Thompson.

She said the money will go toward several groups including the Wesley House in Knoxville. Some money will help the Morgan Scott Project which serves Appalachian children, and another chunk will help Living Waters International Ministries which provides clean water for people around the world.

About 100 members of the church's congregation helped make the festival happen.
