(WBIR) Campbell County deputies and LaFollette police destroyed more than a million dollars worth of marijuana this week.
This week, the Governor's Task Force on Marijuana Eradication encouraged police and sheriff departments to take as much marijuana off the streets as possible. Law enforcement discovered and destroyed about 1,100 plants in Campbell County.
Campbell County Sheriff Robbie Goins took the picture below of marijuana found in the Elk Valley area of the county.
"Our aim is to hunt their bottom line and keep these types of drugs out of our communities and schools," said Groins.
The sheriff's office didn't say whether any arrests were made.
