OXNARD, Calif. (AP) - A court filing by Amanda Bynes' parents says they are "deeply concerned" that their actress daughter is a danger to herself and others, and she needs to be placed in a conservatorship.
Friday's petition by Richard and Lynn Bynes says their daughter has expressed fears she's being watched by smoke detectors and devices in her car's dashboard.
A judge has delayed ruling on the petition.
The 27-year-old actress was placed on an involuntary psychiatric hold Monday after authorities say she started a fire in the driveway of a home in the Los Angeles suburb of Thousand Oaks, where she grew up.
The hold has since been extended.
The Byneses' petition cites their daughter's arrests in recent months and concerns about her spending as additional reasons a conservatorship is necessary.
