(WBIR) A pickup truck rolled out of a parking lot and crashed into a West Knoxville apartment building on Saturday afternoon.

The incident happened around 2 p.m. at Avalon West Apartments.

According to the Knoxville Police Department, the driver said he had backed the truck into a parking space. When he got out of the pickup truck, it rolled backward because it was not in park. The truck went down a steep hill and hit one of the apartment buildings.

KPD said no one was hurt or in the apartment when the crash happened.

Due to structural damage, the people living in four apartments in the building will have to be relocated within the complex until structural integrity can be assessed.

Authorities said no citations were issued to the driver of the pickup truck.
