Apparently Pope Francis isn't the only one using Twitter these days.
The Vatican's cardinal Gianfranco Ravasi stated recently that Jesus tweeted long before anyone else when he came up with phrases like "Love one another" that delivered important messages in a short 45 characters or less. Well, one comedian took the cardinal's idea a step further, and actually tweeted as Jesus would, turning some of his most important teachings into spurts of social media religiosity using the handle @daMessiah. Take a look at the video for a super abridged version of the Bible.
And speaking of communication (and loving one another), the pope was in hot water with some this week for his statements about the Catholic Church's attitude toward gays, women and service in a recent magazine interview. The late-night comics have been talking about it for days. See what they had to say in this Friday religion roundup of Punchlines.
