The Vols opened up fall camp under the lights at Haslam Field on Friday night.
The freshman got their first taste of practice, and the three-man quarterback competition between Justin Worley, Josh Dobbs and Nathan Peterman continued. Butch Jones said the quarterbacks did retain a lot of the information they've been taking in over the summer but he wasn't pleased with the QBs' accuracy. Butch said they count how many balls hit the ground due to drops or incompletions and the total for Friday was 62. Butch says a good team usually has that number down in the 18-20 range.
Butch Jones' comments after practice:
A major storyline of fall camp will be the offensive and defensive lines where Tennessee will have to replace every starter. Below you can hear from offensive guard Kyler Kerbyson and defensive tackle Danny O'Brien.
