A popular East Tennessee race took place again this year on the ice of the Knoxville Coliseum.
The Knoxville Ice Bears held their 12th annual "Wiener Dog Race". More than 30 dogs from across East Tennessee took part in the competition.
Each year, the event has grown in popularity. The Ice Bears say it regularly sells out.
"It's become somewhat of a cult phenomenon here in Knoxville," said Knoxville Ice Bears Assistant General Manager Dave Feather.
A dog named Oscar won this year's race. He will have another shot to defend his title in February.
The Shiloh Riders also collected money for donations at Friday's event. The proceeds from that go to the toy run, which benefits kids all across East Tennessee.
