(Jim Wyatt, The Tennessean)-- The Titans released quarterback Tyler Wilson on Wednesday, in addition to making some other moves.
Wilson, a fourth-round pick out of Arkansas, was signed by the Titans at the end of last season after being released by the Raiders. He'd been splitting reps with Zach Mettenberger during training camp.
Now, Mettenberger will get the reps behind starter Jake Locker and Charlie Whitehurst.
The team signed defensive lineman Lanier Coleman, in addition to tight end Chase Coffman. Coleman has played with the Jets and Packers. Coffman most recently played with the Falcons after spending time with the Bengals and Buccaneers.
The Titans placed tight end Dorin Dickerson on injured reserve. Dickerson was injured in practice last week.
