It may be spring, but it certainly doesn't feel like it right now!
A light snow is falling Tuesday in parts of East Tennessee. Enough flakes fell in Cocke County to close schools, though few travel problems are expected in most areas.
There's a chance for just about everyone in the area to see a few snow showers throughout the day. In addition, expect gusty winds and some rain to fall for the rest of the day. As for temperatures, they'll be in the low to middle 40's, but with that wind, it's going to fell like the 20's or 30's, so be sure to bundle up!!
And it gets worse before it gets better.
Tuesday night will be bitterly cold for this time of year. Temperatures will dip into the lower 20's, and a hard freeze is very likely. Be sure to cover your gardens and flowers if you want to keep them safe!
Wednesday will remain chilly, in the upper 40's, but great news by Thursday! Temperatures will get close to 60 by that afternoon with sunny skies!
